Welcome to the website of the project "Quality Cities: developing a common approach to quality in public services"
The project is the result of a project group created in the context of the Sweden Emilia Romagna Network in 2007. The group was started by some of the Italian and Swedish municipalities of SERN and today it involves also the involve also municipalities from other EU countries.
The objective of this project is to create a network of collaboration centred on the comparison of various experiences in the management of quality in public services. In particular the focus will be on quality in the pre-school educational services and services for elderly care offered by the municipalities involved.
These two policy areas were selected since they are both managed at municipal level in all the participating countries and they are central to several European Union polices.
